Am I asking for too much? Honda HRV-EX 2018 CVT buying question

Im in the market for 2 Honda HRV's EX CVT. I've asked multiple dealers and the best I can get is $23600 OTD, with Tax based on zip, 92040, California.

Im about to send some emails to the internet managers of local dealers and ask them for their best bid with each other. I also said that if someone can get for us for $23000 OTD we will buy today!

So my question is am I asking for too much? Earlier this year they were closer to $23,400. Not to much taken off MSRP these days for HRV's?
Any input/advice is appreciated

Putting 8K down and financing 15K at 1.9APR for 60 Months

Thanks

Use the last 2 days of this month to your advantage, its the end of the 2nd Sales Quarter to Negotiate a best price . Make a list of dealers your willing to travel to 8 ,10 ,15. Call and email each internet manager . tell each dealer that X price gets your business today . Take counter offers if your asking price is to low . You will have your answer at the end of this process. make your best deal on the 29th or 30th. Target several of the higher volume Honda dealers in your area, they tend to sell cheaper than the smaller guy.

Read some of my buying tactic's in the Honda accord forum or on my IM page/ comments. If you need more advice or help reach out to me . Good luck

Since I've been retired and out of the business for awhile I can only assume that , yes, you are asking too much. You want the dealers to INCLUDE sales tax, license and other fees! California is a miserable dog eat dog market and the stores get down and dirty! Is this what you really want? You can make this a long and miserable process if you want to but it kinda sounds like you've hit rock bottom.brian 125 means well but emails like his usually get ignored..." I will buy today",,,,,yeah, sure you will.

Former E Commerce Manager at a VERY high volume dealer!

Good luck, it doesn't have to be a miserable process!

Also....the MARKET determines pricing and I have no idea what the market is on HRV's. If they are in high demand and short supply, why give one away? And, the dealer doesn't care how you are paying for it. Why put so much down when you are paying a give away interest rate? Keep your money invested!
