What is fair market price for a 1969 Porsche 911T?

Hi everyone!
I am new to the vintage Porsche market, and am considering purchasing an original, one-owner, low miles 1969 Porsche 911T from a private seller for ~ $85k. Car has matching #'s, all original, and all owner and service paperwork.
No rust.
Is this a fair market price for this vehicle? I'm a bit sticker shocked.

Well, with that good provenance and evidence to support it, it's a fair market retail price...if.....IF...the car is really nice. As it sits, it should be of a "local show" quality, with no conspicuous exterior or interior blemishes beyond some light wear and tear--as one might expect from an original car. But if it really needs paint, bodywork, or has some serious mechanical issue, then one should deduct accordingly.

All things being equal, and if it's a very sharp car, I'd say there's $5,000 worth of negotiation to be done here.

The 911T is the least valuable of the 2.2L cars.

Also, check color codes and make sure it hasn't had a color change. You might ask if he has a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from the Porsche Club.

You might also consider having the car checked over by a qualified Porsche specialist. These motors are extremely expensive to rebuild and the unibody must be free of serious rust.
