Shifter problems

My 2014 expedition has this problem recently, The shifter becoms hard to move from N to D.
It gets even harder to move to 3 ,2 ,&1. What could be th cause ? Thank You all.

Most likely it's either the interlock cable (shift cable) or the shift lever assembly. When you're in Drive, I assume the car is running OK and shifting normally?
