Retrieving cel codes 2007 impreza

Hi all, I’m having the hardest time trying to retrieve mil codes from this car. I have tried every possible way I could find on the net. I can not find the black/clear memory connectors I’ve read about on some site. I have found the green connectors. Is it possible to pull codes on this car without a scanner? Thanks I’m advsncd for any help.
