I am looking in MA, was wondering if anyone thinks I will be able to get to 25,000 including all dealer fees So far the best I have is 25, 945 (including $495 doc fee). I used the eprice option on the website and also a trucar request. I also tried Costco, was told there was no Honda dealer in all of MA signed up. Followup emails haven't budged from the internet eprices.

How to do the internet eprices compare to what the forms of contact? I haven't done the email bidding technique. What are your experiences with what will happen when the 2019 come in? Will 2018 be discounted much more.

I would have gone with a FWD, but a dealer also told me there was none in MA or surrounding states.

I posted in the main thread for this year, but it doesn't look like it even rose in the listings so it could be read.

Can you send me the dealer info on this 25, 945 price quote. I am in MA and am looking to get a CR-V; this seems to be decent price. Thanks.

Prime Honda close to Boston. This was the eprice I got from them online. I didn't talk to them. There was another dealer that was the same, but I forgot which one. I emailed back to see if they would go lower, and I got a reply back with that was as low as they would go. All the other eprices were much higher.

With the issues with the oil I started looking into other brands. It looks like when you add in the options that are included in the EX AWD you get much higher prices out of many supposedly lower priced vehicles. That is true for the Escape, even the Kia Sportage, and also the Rav4. I think also for the Forester. I think the CX-5 comes the closest, the MSPR is about the same, but the prices I have been getting have been higher, but I only tried a few places.

There doesn't seem to be a good place to put this conversation in the general discussion, as it doesn't get the responses. I would think many would be in the same situation. The real world prices are hard to get, and it makes difficult when there are at least 5-6 options available.

Anyway, let me know how it goes. That was over a month ago, so their prices may have changed. I can get the name for you of the other dealer if you want, I will just have to go deeper into may emails.

Thank you, I did see that, but that is the only discussion of the cars I mentioned. None of the other cars I mentioned have buying discussions. The reply is start your own, but many don't get any response. Primarily this seems to be a leasing forum. I know leasing is popular, but a good amount also buy!

Later on tonight. I will make a discussion on pricing of alternatives to the CRV. I am going to test drive some tomorrow, also going to test drive sub compacts SUV's and some cars.

That's true. We depend on member's to supply that information. It's a chicken vs. egg, thing. A few Honda or Toyota models are about the only ones that can seem to get enough members reporting their deals.

Come back and let us know what you find.

ychwang, The other similar quote I got was from McGovern Honda in Brockton,

    M.S.R.P: $ 29,325
    - $ 3,750 Dealer Discount

    e-Price: $ 25,575
    doc fee $ 495
    Total $ 25,970

I emailed them once a few weeks ago to see if they would go to 25,500, the reply back was that the price he gave me was the best price, they wouldn't go lower. They were direct in the first email too, there was stringing along from other dealers, so I like that they were direct. I didn't contact Prime beyond the internet e-price request.

Hi Scott, thanks a lot for the info. Brockton is more than 40 miles away for me, so I will use this info as negotiation reference when I contact Honda dealers in my area.

I just got a quote from Herb Chambers Burlington for $25,747 today, no negotiation required. Doc fees are about 600 total. They must have a lot of CRVs to unload in this state. I might use some of these quotes above to see if I can get a few hundred off before committing.
