GMC envoy dead. all systems locked up.

2006 Envoy good battery. will not crank. no power, cannot remove key of move gear shift. is this a security system issue?

Check connections at battery and other end for ground wires.
Check connection at battery and other end for positive red lead. Carefully
I'd disconnect negative from battery then loosen, twist, and retighten the leads. Then reconnect ground.

If you have the ability connect another battery as a jumper while your battery is disconnected at the ground wire.
Verify your battery actually is good.

Is there a panel on the underside of the steering column that lets you get in to press a release button for key removal when the whole car goes dead? Might mention in the owner's manual in the glovebox.
