I can't get my front wheels to lock in.

The automatic hubs were finicky and had to be very clean and lightly lubed with transmission fluid. The best long term solution has been to replace them with manual hubs.

That is what they did. They were hidden under fancy hubcaps lol Thank you for your answer. It works great so far.
