Front Shocks -shocking price!

Why would one front shock on my Escalade EXT cost over $500

  • Is that an installed price? The entire strut/spring/shock assembly has to come out, come apart, shock replaced, etc. So in addition to parts, there's going to be a decent amount of labor, and generally, that's not cheap. Fairly extensive process, certainly more than simply removing and replacing the shock absorber as you can see in this video I found

    no the shock costs 526.99 and the total cost installed was 753.79
