Gaz pedal clicking noise

Hey everyone, I am looking for an answer as to why my gas pedal clicks once when pressed and then clicks again when I let off the gas pedal. Is this a sensor of some sort or what? I also feel the click with my foot. Very annoying i would say.

    Could very well be the sensor that measures the movement of the accelerator pedal. If the noise only happens with the truck turned ON, then I'd be doubly suspicious of the sensor.

    Thank you. I have replaced the whole gas pedal assembly and it worked. no more noise. thanks again
