Is 4x4 on an GC Altitude (without the HI-LO) actually worth the extra money?

Hi, I'm looking into leasing a 2019 Altitude, and wondering if it is worth paying extra for the 4x4. Driving mostly city/highway, rarely rains (Phoenix), maybe once a year going up to the mountains in winter (my current Nissan Sentra does fine on those roads).
I have a feeling this basic 4x4 is useless for pretty much anything, and a 4x2 will save me a few bucks on a lease... would be glad to hear any thoughts if anyone is willing to share.
