I have an Optima for trade in, 7k. 3k down from that and then monthly payment 219.00. My only problem is the mileage. 10k/year. I'd vastly prefer 12 or even 15. Is this generally negotiable? Any tips?

Dealers quote 10K/yr because the payment is lower.

15K/yr will lower the residual by 3% of MSRP.

On a $28K MSRP, that will add $840 to depreciation and add about $22/mo.+tax to the payment.

No point in putting $3000 upfront towards a cheap lease, even if you have it available.
