I have what I imagine is an odd question. Basically, the Toyota dealer screwed up my lease and put the wrong number of miles in the final agreement. This, after lots of other screw ups along the way to the point where I have no faith in them whatsoever. Now, they admit the mistake and say that Toyota Financial wants them to buy the truck back from me and redo the lease.

I have several questions about this. First, how much would they pay me? Would I get my deposit back? And how would they re-factor the MF and residual if they then re-sell me the truck, which is now used?

What I would really like to do is have them buy back the lease and then just walk away. I would rather get the truck at another dealer at this point given how completely incompetent this dealer seems to be.

    Any advice is appreciated!

How long has it been since you leased?

It's only been a month, exactly on July 1. I got an OK deal. The problem is that now I'm not sure how to deal with the residual and MF since we're going to have to craft a new lease. Which, again, is why I'd rather just have them buy back the lease and then not do a new lease from them.

If the original contract is null and void, per Toyota Financial, then I don't think you're under any obligation to enter into a new agreement with that dealer. The dealer will want to, of course, but be honest with them about how you feel.

But, this is my own opinion - not a lawyer, and didn't stay at Holiday Inn Express.

Thanks! When they buy it back, will they also refund the money I put on the downpayment and the 1st month's bill that I've already paid?

If the deal is unwound, I would expect you to get that money back.

Hi! What is the mf and residual for a 2019 Tacoma Off Road double cab in 96765 - 36/12 or 24/12?

Would loading it up with options affect the mf and residual value percentage? Thanks!

    4x2 or 4x4?

Options and packages to not affect the numbers, but the payment will be higher.
