Hey All,

I have a 2004 Honda Accord EX Sedan 4c with 101,000 miles. I spent $1600 on an alternator already this year. Now it needs to following repairs worth $4800. These are dealer prices but I'm thinking it would still cost at least $3000 with another shop. Trade in value (KBB) is around $2000.
Is it worth the repairs or should I sell. More than the mileage it seems to be the age of the car?

From that list, it seems that the car hasn't had much maintenance completed over it's lifetime.

$1400 for A/C and $2300 for a new steering rack?

I think I'd dump it for whatever I could get, rather than spend $3700 on it for those two items. No benefit in the low miles, if it has that many needs. 15 years old.

Yeah those two are the big items but that is the dealer price. Another shop would be able to do it for $1100 for those two items. ($700 + $400) including parts and labor.
The rest are just routine maintenance items.
