Lease incentives vs. Purchase Incentives

Is it true that when you get a lease you cannot get the incentives offered by the dealership compared to when you buy it? I walked into the dealership trying to get the best price on a buy but then when I asked to lease they told me I lost of the incentives, can someone help me clarify this question please?

Your dealer is correct; there are very different incentives for purchase versus lease. That's why it is important to be upfront with the dealer when you go into negotiate your deal.
