misfire

i have replaced the plugs, wires, and the coil. The check engine light came on and the code indicated a no. 2 cylinder misfire. Repeatedly. I checked the wire and plug and they seemed fine. The missing seems to occur below 1800 or so rpms, at freeway speeds it seems fine. No loss of power or gas mileage. But it does miss, especially at idle. Anybody have any ideas where I might look?

Compression both cranking and running would be one thing to check. Do you have a stethoscope? If so, try listening to the injectors to see if they are being commanded to trigger. You need to do this quickly after the engine is started because the computer Will turn the injector off once it detects a missfire. Are there any codes setting ?
