Last we actually "saw" the number in April, it was .00290.

Reports from the 4th quarter is that it is now .00270, but we don't have independent verification.

"MRM" maximum residulizable MSRP for Cayenne 2020 is set at $83,200 ? That will be used to calculate RV of any car with MSRP > MRM. I was told that is how Porsche Leasing works. So my question is

Is it not advisable to get a "loaded" car, one because the added upgrades are not worth anything at 3 years, and secondly the lease payment goes up significantly (because of lower RV and therefor higher financed amount). should one target a car with MSRP less than MRM.

The other question is, what is the value of a discount on a car with MSRP > MRM. Even if I get 5-7% off MSRP on a $90,000 car, that would not lower the lease payment much, because the RV is 60% of MRM and not MSRP.

All of that is correct.

Try to find a lightly optioned car, or at least one that has an MSRP less than the MRM.

This part is wrong. Depreciation is the difference between the price you pay and the residual amount. Even if you are shopping for a car that has a lower residual, every dollar you negotiate lower goes directly in your pocket, in the form of a lower payment.

The calculated residual is a fixed number. The variable is the negotiated price of the vehicle, no matter what the residual amount.

We don't track pricing.

But, the discount should be about the same percentage, regardless of MRM. MRM doesn't affect the dealer.
