Atlas SE w/ Tech Lease Help

I need help negotiating a lease on a 2019 SE Tech RLine with Pano sunroof and captains chairs. I'm new to leasing and learning as I go so appreciate the help! So far I've gotten this offer:

Msrp $43,069
Sale price $37,844 plus fees of:
Sales tax/IMF? $500
Reg. title, elec filing $782.50
Doc fee $499
Total sale price $39,625

Down Pay $2500
Monthly payment $452 for 36/12

Please let me know where there's room for adjustment!

Is $2500 the full amount Due at Signing?

FWD, yes $2500 includes the first month's payment. He also offered $1100 down for $496/mo. Just trying no to get taken to the cleaners on this.

$1975 dealer lease cash

I get $495/mo, with just first payment due at Signing.

Not real familiar with SC DMV charges, but $782 seems high. I could be wrong.
$499 doc fee is a garbage charge
$500 is the max tax for SC.

Considering the VW-to-dealer incentive, the discount is about $3200.
That seems to be where you could save some money... a lower selling price.
Also, ask for the money factor used, as that may be marked up slightly.

Thank for this info. So I've gotten another dealer down to $2k down (1st mo plus fees) and $451 for 39 months. However the MF they're giving me is .00206 which seems high for top tier credit? Curious what I should be getting in 29464 zip?

If the price is substantially lower than the last quote, then it's likely they are giving you a bigger discount, and marking up the money factor.

F&I guys like to do this to get more commission for themselves, and less for the salesperson.

VW sets the base MF, which the dealer is then free to mark up for extra profit.

Simply tell them you want the base rate, or you'll find another dealer.

If your out of pocket is $500 less than the last quote, and the monthly is $45/mo. less, then this looks like the better deal.

bgb_atlas Did you end up closing this deal?

Pricing out the same package but AWD. Got #s of $430 per month with 2100 DAS. Not sure if this is legit as competing dealers keep saying this is unrealistic but deposit is in and I have a lease order.
