I'm in the same boat needing a 2-year lease. While a 3rd year makes the lease far more reasonable, it still adds another year of insurance and that can be extremely expensive if you have teenagers in the family.

So, while a 2 year lease may seem ridiculous, it's the total cost of the lease of a 2 year term compared to a 3 year term that I have to consider. It doesn't have to be a Subaru, but it does have to be something with all the modern safety features. Subaru is very good with safety.
