Texas lease tax question

Hello, In TX after the lease term is complete (eg. 36 months), If i wish to purchase the vehicle is another 6.25% (double taxation) assesed on the residucal value? Based on my finding it sounds like yes, but also reading its at the discretion of Volvo financing company wherein they provide credits.

Apprently its sounds like BMW is a TX lease fav. Not sure how true that is.

Any guidance would be appreciated and any experience leasing aVolvo and the double tax impact would be greatly appreciated.
