how are taxes paid on a lease in VA? In the leasehacker calculator, it has an option in the tax section that says; Tax is levied upfront on the sales price (e.g. VA).
I'm assuming that I need to check that box living in VA? It hits the monthly payments pretty hard.

The calculator is correct. You pay sales upfront on the full selling price. At least the rate is low.

You don't have to put up the money, though. You can always roll that amount into the CAP cost.

Also - what is a reasonable amount (%) to ask off the MSRP?
Is 10% a good number or should you be more aggressive?
I'm about to make an offer and don't want to leave any money on the table.
