Has anyone come across an answer for the acadia's jumping and hesitation at low speeds, climbing hills and even on freeway? This has been goin on for quite some time and everyone says need a new transmission, about $ 6200.00 Of course they want more money for a vehicle I spent over 56K for. 2) Other problem is putting it in reverse, there is a big clunk and sounds like transmission its the driveway!! 3) When heater is on, pass side blows out COLD air for a few weeks and now all blowers up front have quit. defrost and floor runs fine. 4) Ever since I had this truck, my front windows also leak and when you open windows while driving, whole truck smells like mildew. Have taken it in for all of these problems and no solution. Gm has known about problems with the jumping, hesitation and jerking and I guess they are to big for their customer to take care of any of this. Guess it time to leave US cars and go foreign. Loved this truck when I got it and really disappointed in GMC

Well your description of the jumping and hesitation along with the big clunk when putting it in reverse DEFINITELY sound like you have transmission issue, and a new transmission may be the only solution. At some point, the cost to diagnose and repair is going to be as much or more than simply replacing the transmission.

The front windows leaking and the mildew smell might be related to the blower issue. Could be a buildup on the evaporator coils (dust and gunk plus moisture) that has created mold and bacteria causing the "dirty sock" odor. Might be to the point where it's blocking blower vents.
