IMA Battery yellow warning

My IMA yellow warning is showing up once in a while . I've had the car for over 8 years. The gas mileage is somewhat down but I still get about 50 mpg on the display. I know I need to change the battery. How long can I drive the car until I get a red warning?

    That is difficult to say, there are some things that you just can't be certain about. In some cases replacing a few of the battery segments instead of the entire battery pack might buy you some time. Has anyone pulled codes just to see if the system is generating any clues?

    I haven't got it checked. I am trying to wait as long as possible, get a whole new battery when I absolutely have to, and keep this car for at least another 8 years (I love this car!)
