No lights on gear selector/climate control

Hello, just picked up a 2005 Subaru Outback 2.5i Auto. Tried other forums with this question but haven't had any responses. I installed an aftermarket head unit shortly after getting the car. It wasn't until I had to go out later that night that I realized I had no gear selector/climate control/heated seat dial lights. They were all working prior to installing the new HU. As far as troubleshooting goes, I checked and replaced the #16 illumination fuse after it had blown. Fuse hasn't blown since. My window switches still light up. I don't think that all 3 bulbs happened to blow at once. So, are there other fuses that relate to it? Is there a connector that I'm missing? Another point, I did not hook up the orange dimmer/illumination wires from the aftermarket harness to the new HU. As there were 2. One was orange/white which had no where to go and the other being just solid orange that could splice to the HU harness. I don't know if that would make a difference or not. Any suggestions? Thank you.
