    Do you know what the $3000 up front covers, specifically? In NJ, we recommend you only pay the first payment and registration costs up front, and roll the taxes and fees into the monthly payment.

    They had me at $2,000 down and $505.79 payment and $2,500 with $490.00 he said the less I put down the higher the monthly.

    Which is true. Anything beyond the two items I suggested you pay up front could be lost I should the vehicle is stolen or totaled. Better to have a higher payment to mitigate that risk.

    In general, your payment should go up about $30/month for every $1000 you don't put down, meaning your $2000 down quote should be around $450/mo
