I have Firestone FireHawk tires on my 2018 Impala. I have 29000 miles on them and the road noise is terrible. Is it the tires or something mechanical that’s causing it?....the noise. Any recommendations?

If the noise wasn't there when the car was new and has gradually gotten worse, it's the alignment.
Word of caution: The published alignment tolerances - not the spec value, but the deviation from the spec value - are too wide by half. To get good tire wear, the alignment has to be within the inner half of the range. Be sure to mention that to the alignment tech BEFORE he performs the work and make sure he agrees to put the alignment in that range.
Also, it may be necessary to pay for additional parts like a camber plate or an eccentric bolt to get the alignment where it should be. Be sure to tell them it's OK BEFORE they start. Many alignment techs don't like to tell their customers that there may be additional costs.
Also, some alignment echs think that if the factory didn't provide adjustment, that they CAN"T be adjusted. That's what the camber plates and eccentric bolts are for.
And lastly, ask them to provide the printouts UP FRONT!! Check before you pay!!
