Hi I am looking for the residual value and money factor for a lease on a 2021 RAV4 Prime.

36 months/10k a year.

Zip code is 20010. Would also love to know how the federal tax credit is being treated.

Thanks

    Which trim?

Looks like the bank is keeping the tax credit.

    .00285 and 63%
    No incentives

The leasing bank gets the federal tax credit. You get a high residual, instead.

Did not think I was going to luck into a Prime in 2020 but on Dec 31 I walked into a dealership in Gaithersburg MD (next to Costco which I couldn't get in due to overcrowding) just as someone who ordered it backed out. So I bought it. A Prime SE at MSRP ($41,200) and got 2.9% for 6 years with PNC Bank. Never thought about leasing it since I want the EV tax credit but came here curious about Residuals.

Using your Nov MF & Res, the monthly lease payment (for MD) works out to be $635 + $4645 Drive off but no EV credit. Buying it with $4000 down, I ended up with $617/month + $7500 EV credit. If I trade it in in 3 years (at 63%) I stand to lose about $15K in depreciation but offset by $7500 tax credit. So my cost for 3 years is $7500 but won't need to pay acquisition or disposal fees.

So if you are here looking at leasing a Prime, run your numbers and maybe buying is a better choice.
