Shaking/vibrating

There was a noise coming from my car while I am driving took the car in to see what it was they told me it was the front brake got it fix pick up the car notice that the brake was not holding like before also I notice there is now a shaking vibrating coming from the front end told them that they said the brake was soft got the car back it is still shaking vibrating took it back now I have a bent steel rod I was told that my car had a major hit I ask when did that happen because I am the only one who drive my car plus when I take it in it was not shaking vibrating. I just want to know what happen to my car?
