CX-5 GT & GTR 2020 in Chicago - Normal deal?

Hello - I reached out to a few dealers and they are all coming with similar pricing for CX-5 GT & GTR 2020 36/10 leases in 60647. Do they seem as bad as I believe they are or is this normal pricing in Chicagoland? I was looking to stay under $400 for the 2020 models but this will break my bank.

The dealers were also very adamant and cold about providing the lease worksheets over email. They want in-person talk for showing the real numbers, which I am trying to avoid.

Yes I am in the City of Chicago. I don't know if they are calculating based on double tax but it seems like it is because if they want $3000 due at signing it would mean that they want all of the following plus extra tax and fees over the monthly payment:

Due at signing:
- First month payment
- 9% of full 36 month lease
- $650 acquisition fee
- $300 doc fee
- ~$500 registration, gov fees

The lease hacker calculator is coming up with much lower monthly payment even after paying close to $3000 due at signing:

GT = $273 /month
GTR = $318 / month

You are subject to IL state sales tax, which is collected upfront (about 7.2% of total payments), and then City of Chicago lease sales tax of 9%, applied to the payment.

I doubt the LH calculator can account for those numbers.

I wouldn't go by the website. Get an actual quote from the dealer.

Nothing is going to be cheap to lease, if you live in the City, and have to pay an extra 9% tax.

Yes, the calculator does not account for the State Lease tax (9%) added to the monthly payment.
