The initial quote was $804/mo for 39 months, now they want $818/mo for 33 months, pre-paid? The MF should be lower when doing a one-pay lease.

Without all the information, we can't really comment on how good or bad that quote is.

That works out to $822/mo.

$1000 is a tiny discount on a $57K vehicle.

But, sales tax on a lease is high in TX. Not much you can do about that.

I get $480/mo, before tax, with those numbers (I added the tint to the selling price).

Tax rate would have to be pretty low to get the quoted payment.

Land Rover dealers are pretty famous for marking up the money factor for extra profit. This can add $thousands to your total cost.

It's imperative to understand the numbers that are involved in their lease quote, so you know what you are paying for. Picking a Land Rover for your first lease negotiation does not bode well for you.

Given the demand is greater than supply now, it doesn’t seem to have much leeway for negotiation. My current MB had a $69K MSRP and I paid $0 down & $700/mo. $650/mo for a $54K MSRP sounds crazy to me.

The selling price is the same as the MSRP. The adjusted cap cost would also be $54K, just $100 less.
$0 down, but I will need to pay $650 first month payment plus $1.5K for fees and stuff at signing.

The rule of thumb - 1% monthly payments of the MSRP - doesn’t seem applicable anymore nowadays.... ughhh

I wouldn't start a lease with $10K out of pocket; you'll lose that money if the car is stolen or totaled during the lease term.
