Starter engages when steering wheel is turned

Hi everyone,
I have a 2008 commander. When I turn the wheel a small way either left or right the starter engages. I can drive straight with no issues. It will also engage if the car is off and the wheel gets turned. Any ideas?

Having looked at the factory schematic it is very unlikely that this should occur. Is there an aftermarket accessory such as a remote start, theft system, or other device on the vehicle?
