Are the federal and state incentives typically factored into the cost of the lease in such a way that they reduce the cap cost?
I am just now learning how car leases are calculated and based on my research, I thought they would reduce the cap cost. However, I spoke with a dealer this morning who said that they do not count the federal credit as a cap cost reduction. Is it up to the individual dealer how they factor it in or is it possible I misheard him?

If you are a lessee, any incentives come from Audi, and are applied as CAP cost reductions (that's the $6712 lease cash)
That's because there is no Federal tax credit for a lessee. Only the owner of the vehicle gets the tax credit.
