I have an iX M60 on the boat and want to confirm pricing. Was initially given MF of last month .00222 and applied to lock them in. Seems a bit of a bait and switch, as I am now told just told it was now .0023?

What should the MF be if car is being sold / registered in 15101 and bought from 80918? Not sure which is relevant.

Are the residuals still .51 for 10K and .48 for 12k?

.00190 is the base MF. BMW allows dealers to markup the rate by .00040, for extra profit.

51% for 36/10

Dealer allowed to mark up the MF.

50% is the 36/15 residual - they probably aren't making the adjustment for the lower mileage allowance

I got a quote from my dealer today for a lease of iX xDrive 50, and I'm not sure if I'm getting a good deal. Could someone let me know what they see? I'm doing 36 months for 10k miles. My zip code is 95138. I have excellent credit (> 800) but no loyalty.

The MF quoted is 0.00225, and they also add $2,148 to the cap, and according to them, it's "a lease protection plan for $1,999 (designed to protect you at the end of the lease) against paint chips, tires and minor damage and $149 phantom footprint." Is this something I can say no to?

They also have the $925 acquisition fee into the cap cost, and $930 in the "license fee" going into the drive-off. I'm not quite sure what the license fee here is?

The MF is marked up the max allowed by BMWFS, and I'd pass on the lease protection plan - that's just profit for the dealer.

The license fee is likely the CA DMV registration costs, which are roughly 1% of MSRP.

Using the MSRP as the cap cost, and the base MF, I save about $150/mo on the payment, after taxes.

You can try, but in this market - and with the iX being a high demand vehicle - you may not get very far.

CA dealers have a doc fee that I think is restricted to $85. That's probably part of it. The rest could be for a temporary tag, or something like that.

Full MSRP + marked up money factor is always going to make for an outrageous payment. Plus another $2K+ in "insurance" doesn't help.

This is one of those, "we think you are really stupid and will pay up" kind of leases. I normally stop and move on to another dealership if they are this insulting.

That's just a way for BMW to come up with the advertised price. It has no bearing on what the dealer might offer you, or accept.

How are taxes being accounted for? In Texas, you pay tax on the entire sales price - can either be paid up front, or added into the monthly payment.

I've no idea of the market for these vehicles.
