Trade-in at dishonest dealer

Hey guys, I've got an issue I was wondering if you'll could shed some light on. Any help would be much much appreciated.

I have recently traded in my 2019 MINI cooper S (21k miles) to get a 2023 MINI clubman S. The issue though, was that during this entire process, the dealer told me that they'd take my cooper at 22k and sell it for 25k. My cooper S was a lease with 18k buy out remaining and they had said that way, it left me with 4000 down for the new clubman S which seemed like great at the time. But 1 week after I took this deal, I saw they were selling my cooper S on their own website as a used car for 25k. I feel like they scammed me for 3000 dollars more or something. Do you guys know what I could do in this case? Is it even possible to get my car back? Or at the vey least negotiate back few thousand dollars? I'm in northern California.

Thank you so much!

It seems they did exactly what they said they would? Buy your car for $22K and sell it for $25K?

    I don't see the problem.

  • So sorry for the typo. They had then sold it on their website for 28k. Which was 3000 more than the 25k they said they were going to sell. That's why it felt like they scammed me for 3000 more.

Ah. Either way, they offered you $22K for your car, and you accepted. What they do or said after that is irrelevant.

Also, we don’t know what the car actually sold for.

    Enjoy your new car!

  • Thanks so much. Sounds like chances of doing anything is very slim...

    Less than that, I'd say
