Question regarding the ID4 2023 Pro S.

what is the residual Value as well as MF

I went to the dealership today at Stevens Creek, 2022 Pro S MSRP 48500 PLUS 5000 .. they Price in the 7500 Federal Credit into the deal. and It came out cost me 3000 downpayment, 997/ month. I immediately pull out the TESLA.com and show them how much Model Y cost with 3k down and it showed that monthly is 699 / monthly.. and I have my 7500 Federal incentive on top.. I show the "lead Manager" and told him that VW is really a EV Leadership in this market...

Before I left, they said If i can do it MSRP would you close the deal.. Of course, I said No, let me know if you want to move your car and please hope that Elon will not cut it again, "you will lose your pants " --- I didn't said that of course

That's why I come back to this community to report what i had experienced today at dealership and hope everyone knows what deal out there at the moment.

In fact, i really like the drive. it is better than Tesla in my opinion.

Lease bonus is applied like a down payment on the contract.

Hopefully, you can negotiate a price below MSRP, given how they are starting to accumulate on the dealer lots.

If I use the base MF of .00323, I get $461/mo, plus tax. Nowhere near $582/mo.

Is 7500 incentive only applies on purchase or lease or both? And do I need to do the paper in order to get the 7500 from IRS? Can the dealership applied directly to low down the Out the door price?

The $7500 is a lease only incentive; if you purchase the car, then you would use the $7500 as a tax credit on next years 1040 submission (providing you have the tax obligation to offset the full amount).

For a lease, the $7500 is applied as a cap cost reduction (down payment) and it will show up on the contract as such.

You might want to consider a Tesla Y, which is AWD and compares to a ID.4 PRO S+ and has a 35% more range and accelerates faster but costs 10% more.

It is your best guess if an ID.4 holds its values more or a Tesla Y does, but chances are they depreciate more or less the same.

This is exactly what I was talking to salesman. I pull out cellphone, go to tesla website and show them that ID4 is more expensive than Tesla Y. Can you explain that? Salesman. It’s fun to see his facial.

Anyhow, I like ID4 ride better than model Y.

I will keep shopping around and update the forum when I get one

No, you only get the tax credit on your 1040 if you purchase the car, not if you lease it.
