Took delivery yesterday on my I5 M60! Love it! Beautiful and FAST!

With a lease, got $7500 credit, $1500 loyalty and $1000 additional cap reduction from MSRP...so $10K total off MSRP on 3 year, 36 month....I'm in Northern Virginia / DC area.

I have a dealer insisting on marking up the money factor. I have encountered that in the past but they usually relent if you push back hard enough. I would have leased the car yesterday (end of month sale for them) but they would only knock off half of the 60 basis points they're adding to the lease program rate. Why should the dealer make points on the finance charge in the lease? They have nothing to do with it.

Frustrating.

Lots of sales managers like to discount the MSRP but then hike the interest rate, for less savvy customers they think they’ve gotten a good deal but don’t realise the dealership clawed it back by jacking up the interest. Is the deal you’re looking for realistic, if it is then approach other dealers. If you’ve already spoken to lots of dealers and that’s the best deal then that might be the best for your region at this time. Speak to the sales manager directly if you haven’t already, cut out the middle man.

I hear you, but they haven't discounted the MSRP either, ha! I was hoping the desire to get the sale on the books by the end of the month would have motivated them but he didn't budge. Perhaps they will move on the price and I can be comfortable with it. Thanks!
