Just first payment. Everything rolled into it

-The cap cost seems like another way for them to increase the price and roll into our monthly payments. I was under the impression you pay that upfront in order to lower your monthly. We are paying nothing up front....

I was playing around with numbers. If they knock off cap cost, reduce 4000 instead of 2000, (they told my husband 3000 over the phone so I think 4000 is possible?) and lower money factor to .002 (from .00269) we could get payment down to 773. Are those reasonable expectations?

The $1638 is the rolled in amounts that you aren't paying upfront. It's an increase to the CAP cost.
You can pay it upfront, or roll it in. Either way, you are paying it. Those amounts can't just go away.

.00229 MF and 62% residual
Complimentary 1st payment (up to $1000)

If you have top tier credit, then they are marking up the rate by .00040.

I have no idea how low they can go, but your proposal is for them to knock off another $3638, and drop the money factor more than is possible (.00229 is the lowest).

You can ask for whatever you want, but that's a big spread.

Thank you for this. I do not want to be unreasonable at all ...as far as asking for a lower money factor- do I just say " we have top tier credit. Can you lower it?" Is the number .00229 publicly available to reference?
