Hi,

A dealer near me has one 2023 BMW X5 with 12k miles on it and it’s a demo car that had that is ready to lease. I asked for his numbers and this is what he gave me:

White Exterior and Silverstone Interior

MSRP: $71,075
The website says selling price is $69,991 but the window sticker says $71,075 is MSRP
MSRP after discount: $64,895 (5K dealer discount?)
Sub-Total: $64,895
Fees: $213.93 (Not sure what this is)
Sales Tax: $5,624,79
Net Sales Price: $70,733,72

Here are the lease numbers:
36/10k
He is saying that this is including a $1000 rebate (I am guessing conquest since that is what I specified)

$5,536 (Out of pocket, I am guessing this is a down payment) - $1,014.37 a month
$7,500 (Out of pocket) - $953.93 a month
$10,000 (out of pocket) - $877.01 a month

All in all, I am not sure how I feel about this deal… I can lease a brand new X5 for these same prices and I am not sure if the MF is lower due to it being a used demo car… I was hoping for lower numbers, but I guess the car market is not in favor.

Let me know what you think of this deal!

MSRP is what's on the window sticker.
There is no "MSRP after discount".
MSRP minus discount = Selling price

Why would you lease a demo, if you can get a new car at the same payment?

I don't think a dealer can sell/lease a demo car that has more than 5,000 miles (varies by state) on it and still call it a new car ...I believe it automatically becomes a used car under most state laws..

Not true - so long as the vehicle has not been titled (either a dealer demo or a service loaner) it still qualifies for the new car lease or purchase programs.
