I'm needing some help if possible

I have a 2003 Cadillac cts 3.2 and she is my pride and joy she was broke down for two years due to my timing belt snapping while i was driving so i replaced the heads, the timing belt, obviously i replaced the head gasket, the water pump, the alternator, ecu, spark plugs, crankshaft position sensor, battery, coolant temperature sensor, fuel pressure regulator sensor, fuel filter, fuel pump, crankshaft pully, camshaft pulleys, oil filter, air filter, the gas that was in it, and im sure more i just cant think of everything however i know i pretty much did an overhaul on my engine but the only problem im having now is trying to figure out a couple things and hoping to get a little incite from someone: so my car will start right up once it'll idle and drive freakin beautiful but if i turn it off it wont start again for hours or next day and the temperature gage dont work unless i clear the codes however there is only one code ive gotten it from over 40 something codes to now 1 (pat on my back) that code is P2138 then it'll work for a bit and it wont come outta park on the shifter i have to manually do it and on the display it reads engine hot however its not hot other then that ive gotten the worst of it handled im just banging my head against a brick wall trying to figure these few things out. Any help, input, suggestions, anything would be more then appreciated. And yes i am a female that works on my own car, a female that does anything and everything a man can do. that's the joys of being a single mother of three with no good man in her life. So please dont judge because im a female. I just simply do what i gotta do to support my children and save a few bucks however possible.. Thank you to whoever helps me im super grateful...
