2007 Lincoln MKX won’t drive forward only reverse

Car makes grinding noise and jerks when driving forward but drives fine in reverse. Video link below:

    While the ringing sound suggests the sound is coming from the driveshaft, figuring out the origin of a noise is nearly impossible from an audio recording. We need to learn what direction the noise is coming from as part of the diagnostic process. Part of that would be observing the sound from different vantage points, and maybe installing microphones on different sections of the vehicle to aid in locating the source.

    By chance could you tell if the sound was coming from the front, middle or rear of the car?
