Hi All,

I have a 2020 XT6 and someone sideswiped me in a parking lot. Now my passenger side mirror looks like it's essentially popped out from the base, just hanging by the cord. It looks like I ought to be able to slot it back in, turn it, and everything should be fine, but that's proving to be easier said than done.

Is there anything I should know before making a serious attempt? IE, will I need to undo door panels to remove the base first or something? I'd post pictures, but I don't see a way to do that.

Thanks in advance.

See if you can find a YouTube video for how to do it. If you can’t find your exact model find a video of a similar GM model. It will be pretty close to what you have. If nothing else you’ll get a few pointers of what to do and how to do it.

Good luck and let us know how it went.
