Suburban Timing adjustment

I am trying to set the timing on my 95 K1500 suburban and can't find the electronic advance wire you need to disconnect before adjusting.
Can someone please tell me where it is.

I'm not sure if you can call rewriting the software for the ECUs and stuff tinkering.

What I am doing is trying to set the ignition timing not rewrite any software. It is a typical tune up procedure.

I guess you mean set it to zero for an initial value; I'm not too up on this stuff but I thought the ECU controlled the spark in newer cars.

In 95 most vehicles still had distributors, thus the capability to manually adjust timing.
I am not sure where your wire is, however, on older (late 80's) era GM small blocks, it was plugged right into the dist cap along with 2 other wires, the ignition coil was integrated into the cap. I am not sure if this helps or not.

At any rate have you checked your timing right now before any adjustments, IIRC should be 4 degrees BTDC, at idle speed, but you should check cause this is from memory only. Good luck.
