Chevy TrailBlazer Suspension

Hi everybody - I own an 05 Trailblazer in Quito, Ecuador. It was recently in an accident, and I'm trying to save money buying the airbags in the US and shipping them down here.

Unfortunately, when I look online or even call dealers in the US, they can't use my VIN to look in their catalogs because my vehicle was assembled in Venezuela.

VIN - 8ZNDT13SX5V313809

I need to know how to find the exact part numbers that a US dealer can understand! The parts in Ecuador cost 2000.00 per airbag, and I've found them used in the US for 400.00, for both bags!

Here are the numbers I got directly off the bags:
Driver's side - AB2395QIE8BRD5
Passenger side - AL1177M9YARW29
Impact sensor - AD7445X58M7R and 15077445

On each part, they say "Made in Mexico". Does anyone know if all the parts are the same, no matter where they are assembled? If I buy parts in the US for an 05 Trailblazer, will they fit my Trailblazer here in Ecuador?? Do I run any risks trying this?

Any help, suggestions or ideas will be MOST helpful. Thank all of you in advance, I really need some good advice on this one!!

Well i think you will be alright because all the airbags are made in mexico so you can buy any airbag that are made for trailblazers check ebay they always have airbags for sale

My 2005 2 wheel drive Trailblazer seems to have a too-soft suspension. It rides really smooth but has an uncontrolled feel about it, especially on the highway. Does any else feel this way, and has anyone done anything about it? The least amount of crosswind makes it extreamly tiresome to control.

Replacing the factory rear sway bar with a heavier aftermarket one helps a lot. I read somewhere it was designed to ride soft to appeal to a certain market group that was being targeted when it was designed. I can't say for sure if that was the case or not.

I've had this car for almost 2 years and have had nothing but problems. First the ignition switch had to be replaced, then the alternator. Now fuel gauge no longer works, when attempting to fill up with gas the pump constantly stops as if the tank is full when it is not. It acts like something is blocking the fuel from going in. I also have issues with the Stabilitrak lights coming on every time I hit a bump in the road. As a person with walking issues due to MS, it is not helpful to think that I will be stuck on the side of the road someday. I'm regretting ever getting rid of my Toyota Corolla that got me through many snow storms.

As far as the Fuel gauge there was a Service Notice. You can be reimbursed for 50% of the cost to fix this issue, or if it is still under warranty they will fix it. I had the fuel pump replaced at the same time, both cost $630, and was reimbursed $315 and it only took Chevy about 2 weeks to send me a check. Go to a Chevy dealer and fill out the paper work.
