Hi, I recently purchased a 07 Sentra and was suprised to learn it does not have daytime running lights (looks like the 08 does). Although I do notice in the manual it references in Canada it seems the car does.

I wonder if this means it can be modified -- has anyone done any work on their 07 Sentra to get daytime running lights? Thanks for your input. Peter

No Nissan's in the USA have daytime running lights. Some have Automatic head lights.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know they don't -- that's why I'm wondering if anyone has had any work done to make a modification since it seems they do in Canada. Has anyone installed the electronics to make them daytime lights?

When I had a Ford SuperCrew the Canadian trucks had a module that literally plugged into the headlight wiring harness that controlled the DRL's. It was totally plug and play. No doubt there is something similar for this application.

You could order the component and install it yourself in minutes.

I just bought a used 2001 Sentra and have purchased a DRL kit that I am going to install. You can find them on ebay.

How did the DRL install on Nissan 2001 go?
Which specific DRL kit did you buy frmo ebay? Was it DIY or your mechanic installed it?
