Nissan Frontier Trip Computer

Okay, I recently bought a 2008 Nissan Frontier SE 4X4 KC. On the Nissan website, they say it comes with a multi function trip computer. Check the Interior Specifications. The truck did not come with the computer. I contacted NISSANUSA, consumer services. Two representatives said yea, you should have it, after they checked the website. After three weeks, nothing has been resolved. Basically, Nissan has blown me off. They have refused to return my calls. Has anyone else had this problem? It's the principal more than not having it. Nissan should not advertise something they do not offer.

I share some of your frustration though, as it's a $0.02 feature requiring only a different gauge pod and programming. I'd have paid for the feature if it would have been available as an option, but I wanted the 6-Speed stick, so had to buy the SE trim.
I lot of guys have installled the ScanGuage ( www.scangauge.com ) as a substitute trip computer in their XE and SEs and it packs a ton more features than the Nissan OEM trip computer. Good luck to you.
I know the SE does not include the multi-function computer despite the error on the website, prospective buyers would expect the feature on their SE's.
Unless the dealer told you the computer would be included on your truck then I would be doubtful you could get them to give you one since it is not in the brochure.
I ALWAYS pick up a brochure for any vehicle I am going to buy and then compare the features on each model to determine which one best suits my needs. That way you never get any surprises and if the brochure says you get it then the dealer would be hard pressed to deny your claim since you got the brochure from the dealer.
If the dealer shows you get the computer on his website then you would have a legitimate claim on them I would think.
I checked my window sticker to see if the computer was listed and to my surprise it was not. Seems odd that it was not since even the tire pressure monitoring system was listed.
