Tiburon GS or Rabbit 2 Door

I know these two cars are pretty different. But I like the look and style of both. Hyundai is pretty reliable. But I am not sure about VW, which is the reason why I'm leaning more towards the Tiburon. I think I like the Rabbit better. But I'm just really worried about VW reliability and customer service. I mean, exterior styling is important to me. But I need reliability, since I will be driving this car for at least 4~5 years.
For me, I just like how these two cars look. Also, passenger room and trunk space isn't a big issue for me. I'd probably only have one passenger with me ever. But usually, driving alone. And I don't really need trunk space. If I did, I'd borrow my parent's suv.
I know for this price, a lot of people would probably pick an LX Civic or Corolla. But I just don't like the look of either.
Tough decision for me. I just keep picturing myself constantly coming back to the vw dealer with various problems. It's not only that, but I heard their service department is hell to deal with, too. But maybe I should just take the chance and get hte Rabbit, despite VW reliability issues.
If you had to choose, which would you buy?

After reading Consumer Reports glowing review of the Rabbit 4 door S Hatchback, I decided to try one for myself. I was amazed at the interior room-I am 6'2" and fit comfortably in the driver's seat. The car turned on a dime and was a lot of fun to drive. Great brakes and steering. For around $20,000, I consider it a bargain, as it contains features usually found on more expensive vehicles.
Keep in mind that the 2 door has fewer standard features-no front center armrest with storage compartment, cloth for the seats instead of velour, no driver's seat lumbar support,etc;
Both Rabbits come with a 5 year, 60,000 mile limited powertrain warranty and a 4 year, 50,000 mile limited new vehicle warranty. 24 hour road side assistance for 4 years-50,000 miles is provided as standard.
I would go with the VW. Remember, you get the 4 year free roadside assistance if you need it and Consumer Reports rated the Rabbit "better than average" in reliability in its latest issue.
Unfortunately, I know nothing about the Hyundai vehicle.
I hope this helps.

FYI, The Tiburon comes with a 10yr/100K powertrain warranty, a 5yr/60K miler bumper to bumper warranty, and 5yr/unlimited mileage roadside assistance. All that is included with every new Hyundai.

Also, while the Tiburon is not as highly rated as the Rabbit, it is still rated average in its class by CR.
It depends what he/she is looking for: gas savings or fun. :shades:
