Anyway, sdmike2 was talking about bringing some wood trim samples to the meet and I was wondering if there was any way to get other vendors, not just Chrylser dealers, to participate in 300 Club discounts. Seems like a wood trim vendor, or K&N filter vendor, or even Tire Rack would be possible vendors to offer club members something.
I noticed on the 300M club site that these types of vendors have to be approved first by Roger. Just out of curiosity, what would the requirements of the vendor be?
Can't wait to see those pics!
While I was going through my Z stuff on Saturday, I came across some Mopar touch-up paint for the Candy Apple Red for Christine. Can anyone use it? I'd be more than happy to send it.

On another note. The 300M's must be selling VERY WELL in the North East. I saw at least 20 of them in NYC, & NJ. There all over the place. I guess it's all the big discounts. I also saw 1 special on the NJ Turnpike.
videoman1: Talks are underway for a Second East Coast/Wall Stadium Speedway (or somewhere else...) sometime mid-August to mid-September this year. There is a link from the Club home page to a message board (Club Message Board) where there is a topic for Meets under "Club business". I've been typing to George Deane-last year's most excellent Event co-ordinator about a second meet. I've asked for input, etc. for this planned second annual event, so give me some input, all you East Coasters. to date, we have about 90-plus east coast members from the following states: NJ, NY, VA, DE, PA, MA, ME, CT, NH, MD , but all members are welcome to attend. You (videoman1, and other east coasters...) are welcome to email me --my email address is available from the "Contact Us" link on the home page. The club site url is http://www.300mclub.org
Regards to all....

I'm over here in Pittsburgh, PA and would love to participate in an East Coast meet. I'm not very familiar with much in eastern PA or NY, NJ area, but I'm sure I can find my way.
Which Six Flags Adventure were you talking about? Somewhere in NJ? If you have the meet close to a resort or amusement area, it would make it a much easier sell to my wife and kids
BTW, if you notice my username, it's videoman1 (Formally 300Mike but I changed it because of all the Mikes that exist around here along with not being able to get into the chat last Wed.) Why videoman1? Well, I own a video production company of course, and I think it would be fun to tape and edit the get together. Assuming I would make it to the East Coast meet, I'd be more than happy to document the events and send copies to all those who were there.
That's pretty much what I have to offer for those of us on the East Coast. If I can come up with any ideas or if you need anything else from me to help get things rolling, let me know.
I have a '99 300M without the CD changer and you're right. It's a storage bin that has a kind of rubbery feel on the bottom...I guess to keep things from moving. It seems almost like a plastic pocket that you would slip into the hole where your CD changer is. Hope this helps.
Not very easily, the instrument panel comes to us fully assembled with a radio and CD deck or open bin already installed. We don't see them as a separate part on the line.
I will check around to see if I can find a source.
Maybe a junk yard would have a fairly decent '99 300M on it's lot and you can get the bin from there. Someone backed into the front of of my brother's Taurus and since it was his word against the person who did it (long story), neither insurance companies covered the accident. So my brother went to a junk yard and they had a Tauras with a perfect front bumper. Needless to say he purchased it from there.
So the difference between the Hujo and Special is dual pipes exit the collector and merge to one pipe in front of the fuel tank. A resonator on each exhaust pipe.
Wing2 has posted pictures of the drivetrain before it gets mated to the chassis showing this arrangement. Maybe he can post the link again.
Dr--On the east coast meet. I recommend either June or Sep/Oct timeframe since a large contingent [hopefully] from all over, including the east coast, will be going to the Aug 17 weekend Dream Cruise in Detroit and the trip to the factory in Brampton. A little spacing might allow some to hit both events.

Oh, I'm trying to get Bob Baker to donate some stuff for the meet raffle. Not sure if it will happen, but maybe we can get them to donate a storage bin and I'll rig the raffle for you. lol!

cbwongus - it depends on how long the stuff has been there. If it's been a while you have a chore ahead of you. Heat and lots of patience is the only way to go and even then you will still have some glue remaining. If it's on the factory wood, the cleanup isn't so bad. But if it's on the vinyl, it's almost impossible to get it off cleanly. Some folks have taken theirs off, but replaced it with something else. Yop may wind up doing the same thing if all else fails.
See you Saturday!

A turnaround on the way-

Could be some extra income for a moon lighting plumber.
Now that guy selling the plumbing intake might have though water was a bigger issue! lol
They've gone to a lot of effort to tune it because there is no interior noise from the collector and no resonance noise at any speed I've driven at so far. You hear the exhaust note under throttle but it's definitely coming from behind you.
