Apparently the link above is broken; It will lead to a page error. Do you have the correct URL?
Thanks!

You have to copy and paste the whole link, not just the blue part.
You could also do what I did and do a google search for "300m programming keyless entry". The last link will be the one for google groups.
HTH,
How do I reduce reflection, please?
Here are the basics: Up to four remotes can be programmed into the car. With vehicle in Park, turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2) Using a previously programmed remote, press the Unlock button on the remote. Continue to hold the Unlock button, wait at least 4 seconds but no longer than 10 seconds, then press and hold the Panic button for at least 1 second. Release both buttons simultaneously. You will hear a chime to signal that you can proceed with programming the new remote.
3) Press and release ANY button on each new transmitter to be programmed as well as the previously programmed remote. You will hear a chime when a remote has been successfully programmed. You will have 30 seconds to finish programming all new remotes. A chime will sound when the 30 seconds is over or the ignition switch is turned to the Lock position. Now if you don't have a remote at all (lost all of them!) then you would have to go to a Chrysler dealer to program new ones.
I hope this is a help.
Glad to see that there are some old timmers still here.
A guy from the dealership told me transmission comes from Mercedes.

Have a 2000 300M with 105K miles I've had since new. I was noticing the other day that it seems to be reluctant to shift into 4th gear at very light acceleration. At the very lightest acceleration (or going downhill giving it little to no gas), the 1-2 shift takes place about 8 mph, 2-3 at about 16 mph, and 3-4 about 37. This seems a tad high to me (I was thinking low 30's should be normal). I can do a manual upshift from 3 to 4 at about 27.
The only reason I ask is because reluctance to upshift under light acceleration was the only symptom I had before the tranny on our 94 Dodge van failed (twice).
Other than that, the tranny seems fine - upshifting and downshifting normally. The dealer didn't seem concerned, and said that they see very few failures on this car. I can't say for sure if it's always shifted at 37 mph, or I just noticed it.
Because of the Dodge's failures, I've been quite good about maintaining the tranny on this, getting it serviced every 15-20K. I'm looking to get another 5 years out of this car, hopefully without having to shell out the $3500+ for a new transmission.
31k and a new tranny

BTW, it's EVIC, not EPIC.
So far it has been a decent car. I have had to make a few repairs. The stereo went out once, but I was able to have the unit serviced and has worked fine since then. I also had to replace the sway bar links and I just replaced the rack & pinion. I love the styling on the outside and the luxurious interior. My favorite aspect is the instrument panel gauges, especially lit up at night. Some people say that it is an old man's car, but I resent that. I think it is very sporty and it can blow the doors off most the cars the young guys are driving around these days. I was 22 when I bought the car, so I may have set a record for the youngest purchaser.
I am always planning for my next car, so I would say right now I would consider a new 300, but I also really like the Jaguar X-Type. But, I will hopefully have many more good years with the 300M before I have to buy another car!
Now the new 300 -- anything below a hemi engine (2.7 or 3.5) is definitely an old man's car. And the 5.7 hemi is a wonderful, powerful engine, but the 300 is heavier than the 300M and doesn't manoeuver well. That being said, I would love to drive the 300C if only for the hemi experience...
Thanks,
Bret

I'm buying a new Dodge Charger R/T and I love the way it handles and, of course, the Hemi power, but the body styling just doesn't equal the 300M. At least it does look lots better (to me anyway) than the 300C.
I hope it comes close to being as good a car as the 300M!

If I am still around when that baby hits the market I am going to try real hard not to buy it. lol :shades:
RECALLS & TSB???????
One of the major concerns that I have with a RWD car is that they generally handle miserably on the snow and ice.
To get to my specific question, how does the Chrysler 300 handle in the snow and ice which happens occasionally here in Chicagoland?
I went by the muffler shop that put duals on my 300M yesterday to see what we could do to the Charger and found that they are out of business. I'd like the Charger to "talk" to me a little more, but I don't want to wake the neighbors if I leave early some morning.

Now why doesn't the Charger come with AWD? I see a very few in MN and personally like the looks of it much more than the 300s, almost as well as the 300M. Oh well, not time to trade for another 5-6 years yet and we'll probably be back to 4 cyl econoboxes by then unless we can keep the gas back at $2.18 like it is today ... yah you betcha.
It's basically the same as an AWD Magnum, with the same higher stance and same unique wheels.
Now I do not want to get tempted, as I suspect my next trade in a year will be my college bound son buying out my Grand Cherokee, and I will need another SUV like vehicle for hauling stuff and winter time. But a Charger or Magnum would sure be nice, if only I wouldn't have to work another 5 years to pay for it! Thanks for the info.
Thanks!
