You cannot upload photos directly from your computer into a message within a discussion. Your photo must reside elsewhere. Some have used www.photopoint.com (free!) to load their photos into a private folder and then post them within a message.

Here's how:

To get this:

image

Use this coding, but replace the ( and ) with < and >:

(img src="http://a332.g.akamai.net/7/332/936/0001/www.edmunds.com/pictures/35630.jpg")

Or: (img src="Photo URL address")

To make your photo a link like this:

image

do this:

(a href="Page URL address")(img src="Photo URL address")(/a)

Remember, posting copyrighted photos is a no-no. Unless, of course, you own the copyright.

Hope this helps!

Copyright photos that you happen to be IN!!????

I was a subject in Chevy's 2001 Impala brochure.. but no, I don't happen to have licence to use the photo for myself. Bummer. That's my favorite shot, even tho it's my "actual" car...

I have been posting pics to the corvetteforum.com for a long time but your system befuddles me. This is a Photopoint pic of my Impala in winter from Photopoint. I would benefit from your advice as would others as to how to post. In the other Forum it is simply after. Please simplify your commands. Thanks!

Here's the code for posting the above picture:

img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=223638&a=11760457&p=41886588&Sequence=0" Place < in front of img and > at the end of the sequence.

Sorry my original instructions were so confusing! Here is a link to a web site for Basic HTML Coding if you need more help.

WOOHOO! i just got done hooking up my stereo, what a simple process. First you need the headunit relocation kit from www.metraonline.com or have your local sterep shop order it from metra for ya. should be around $30-$50.

after that its all go. i mounted my factory headunit underneath the reardeck (dash) on the drivers side next to the 6x9. i also mounted two 1" surface mount Kicker ND13 tweeters on the front winsheild posts almost facing the glass (sound bounces off the glass) and two JL Audio XR653 6.5" component sets in the front doors, i put 2 JL Audio VR690-CX 6x9's in the rear deck, powered by a Coustic 150X2, i have a Kenwood headunit, and 2 12" Kicker Competitions powered by a Kicker 1225XI (125X2) about 380 watts running to the subs, right now im hovering around 140db SPL! WOOOHOO!

    Check out the pics here!

Snmpimp: Looks like you've really spent a lot of effort to get your setup. That kind of equipment does nothing for me personally, since I'm not that keen on making everyone in the neighborhood share in my music tastes, but I'm happy that you're happy. :)

One thing. I noticed that when you swapped out the factory head unit for your new Kenwood unit, you left a big gaping hole in your dash. How are you going to make that look better, cause it sure detracts from what is a great lookin' car.

Big gaping hole? the one below the Kenwood? thats a cd holder! LOL

Took a weekend-trip to NY City a couple weeks back and saw quite a few Impala cruisers - most white, but some blue as well. Looked very nice. Below a couple shots I managed to take:

Yours looks better! I bet in NY people take two or three looks at your car before speeding back up.

We have NO Impala cruisers in the Portland, Or area (there are a few in Eastern Oregon), yet I still get people slowing down and checking the rear view when I pull up on them in my Navy Blue. I have a base with Option package II, no spoiler, so it looks even more like a cop car.

This is my first try at posting pictures. This is a shot of me and my Impala in the back lot at the dealer before I took delivery. I'll be posting more soon!

Same color as mine. Is that the grey interior?
  • bh0001bh0001 Member Posts: 340
Yup. (cloth). Bugger to keep it clean, but looks AWESOME when freshly washed and Zaino'd.

I'm thinking about getting the windows tinted. One person at work says it will look like a "war machine" if I do. I like that.

Nice LS! Too bad you don't want him anymore...
  • He's starting to feel lonely, as he hardly gets driven anymore. I still wash him regularly and change his oil and check his fluids, though.

He'll make someone happy! Also, it wouldn't do to have a dirty car in the driveway. "A clean car always runs better". That was on a sign posted at the car wash I used to bring my parents' cars to when I was a teenager. Even though it's not technically accurate, I remember it to this day.

Heh heh, no offense really, I know most people who own vintage or tri-9 impalas wouldn't consider mine real. Really though Front wheel drive. C'mon guys... It looks cool, especially the SS (although why not buy a Bonny SSEI)

here is a pix of my 2001 Impala LS with 100,00 KM on it, [66,000 miles] - it's been through 4 winters, no garage and parks under a tree - I use Zaino Polish on it. I think it looks pretty good.

That's me holding a California Duster in the reflection.

    Howdy!

Well, here's a link to my 2001 Impala, the car's in the body shop right now getting the antenna and lightbar holes plugged and the paint cleaned up a little. This was a unit with the Pekin, Illinois Police Department (unit 01-1) before I picked it up, 72K miles, nice shape.. NewImpala.com has info on this vehicle as well.

Hi kinsaine 1969 inpalas are very nice cars. They are very beautiful. Do you drive it a lot. I would love to see some pics of it. Does it sometimes take a while for it to start. How long do you keep it cranking before you let go of the key. alot of late 60s cars i have seen are driven by women. The ones i have seen stall the women keep them cranking for a long time. As long as 2minutes and a half. The sound goes eee eee eee. Which sounds neat. I would be interested in buying yours. I would give you 2500. Is the weather cold where you live. I would look forward to hearing from you.
