I was told when I leased my new 2010 Honda Accord that I would NOT be charged for additional ...
Are you for real? This is your post from 12 months ago that you leased a 2010 accord......
I read so many reviews about it and 2012 is a much better car than 2011, and 2011 was a great car to begin with. 2012 is faster, more efficient and has more space, great car but the interior was hideous in my opinion. Go to a dealership an test drive both, it’s not like you have to buy them.
In addition I had to pay
1. 6% PA Tax + Title Fees
2. $159 Documentation Fees {charged by the dealer}.
Sales experience was very good, I used 0.9% APR Honda Financing, Did NOT buy any accessories or extended warranties. The initial Internet Price Quote was $18400.
2012 Dyno Blue Honda Civic EX-L (No Navi) Sedan
Sticker: $22,705 (Includes $750 destination)
Negotiated Price of car: $21,148 (Just Below Invoice)
Tax: $635

Mud flaps/Wheel Locks: $100

I think I did well!
Regarding add on fees, you should plan for Sales Tax + Title/Registration fees for your state + document fees ($150).
Also take a look at Honda 0.9 - 1.9% APR financing - A Great Value
The Price Breakdown is as follows
$19,040 Your Sales Price on 2012 Civic LX Auto with $780 Honda Delivery Fee included.
1,050 Leather seats Add
150 Tinted Windows
733 All Sales tax
17 State Title Fee
499 Doc fee
189 Registration
$21,678 Total Out The Door Price Including All Tax's and Fee's.
I feel this is high. Can anyone comment on this.
thanks

With supplies so low dealers can charge what they want.
If you can wait 3-4 months supplies should be better, and thus prices a little lower.
But if you can't wait, go for it. The civic is a great car. It's the size of the Accord from 25 years ago, and so really it's a mid size car at this point, if that makes you feel better about the price.
I'd also suggest trying to get them to throw in the window tint and/or other dealer add-ons. If nothing else, it might make you feel a little better about the price. Just a thought...

I'm looking to get a Civic LX in the MA area as well. Did you go to Boch Honda? Were they shady? What was your out the door price? Do you have any tips for me as I go about my Honda purchase?
I am also looking to buy a civic lx 4 door automatic sedan. I am in MA. Would love to hear what people paid OTD in MA. I am hoping to pay 18,800 to 19,000 OTD. I will be paying cash total amount.
I've had the car for one day and I love it so far, especially the Rallye Red Color.
Honda just doubled their headcount and added a full second shift to the new plant that builds Civics in Indiana..

The OTD price was $22,636. This price included PA sales tax and all fees. Deal or No Deal?
What is the good price on it?
the dealer give me OTD price near 19400 without plate!
Is it a good deal?
Thx!!
I'm in Houston and received a quote yesterday from a dealer in Dallas for a 2012 EX of $20,052 or 450. over invoice. At 6.25% tax w/fees of 250-would be 21,555 OTD. If your A/M equipment is worth the additional 1100. to you then go for it
Civic production is just picking up- We have several large dealers in our Metro area and most have very few Civics. If you can get invoice or under would consider it a good deal at this time.
If you can wait- Do it. Pricing will get better in next couple of months.
I was also given an offer of 2012 SE Accord for 20,969 or 1500 under invoice. Much improved inventories....
Anyone can then add TTL and local fees to get the OTD price for their region.
Dealer in houston offered me this price
car -> 21400 (21900 - 500 dealer discount)
dealer installed pro pack -> 300
TTL + Dealer fees -> 1700
Total comes to $23400. Is this a good price ??? or should i wait another month ?

I bought my 2011 Civic in March and the cars.com inventory level was ~1100 Civics in my area (right before the part shortage thing started), over the summer and including last month it stayed around 200-250 Civics -- I just checked today and its up to 700 Civics so much better than the past few months but not as good as normal levels earlier this year
