My wife and I are considering buying a 2010 accord coupe. We live in the Kansas City area. Has anyone on this board had experience with Kansas City dealers, and if so, what prices have you had quoted for the 2010 coupe? We're flexible on which model to get, but the most realistic is probably EX or EX-L 4 cylinder, unless we see a great deal on the V6. Any advice would be appreciated.

When quoting a price of a car, it is best to leave out the taxes and title fee since
it varies from state to state. Using your friends calculations, I paid 23,400 which included sales tax and all the paper work.

We are going tomorrow to pick up our accord lx 4 cylinder

    M.S.R.P. $22,565.00

Buy for $19,851.00 + our Tax and tags (south carolina) $349.00 $20,200.00 OTD

This includes doing the 1.9% financing through American Honda.

I was told that if I wrote a check, I could get it for $19,200.00 OTD, so it is an either or thing, as I figured it, the $20,200. was better for me, financing at 1.9 is pretty cheap!

    Thanks to all,

    Joe

Thanks everyone for your helpful info. I just purchased a 2010 Accord sedan 4cyl/EX-L/Navi/auto for $25,000 + T/L in the SF Bay Area [MSRP $29,540]. Several dealers in the area were looking to deal on this one, but few had my color combo in stock.

The action picked up as we got closer to the purchase date that I had mentioned to the dealers that I contacted through Edmunds and by email. I'm still getting emails about it, so there is some interest out there to sell, especially with the recent incentives.

I would appreciate hearing any feedback on it. Thank you.

Seems when it comes to Hondas, the west coast gets better pricing? Just curious anyone know why?

Hi, I'm in the process of buying a civic EX-L 4 door. The dealer said I could buy it for $19,900. It's actaully cheaper than I expected but What do you think? I want to wrap it up today. Oh yeah, I'm paying cash, no financing.

    Thanks

I leasing an Accord LX base price of $22,565. Here's my terms:
15,000 miles per year, 3 oil changes, car wash and detail in 18 months, inspection for next three years ($20 ea), mud guards.

I'm paying $195/month with $2000 down which includes everything, even registration.
    Is this a good price?

I leased my Honda Accord LX today and bargained the deal down to: 179 + tax and 1300 down for a 36 month 12K lease.

I don't have the extra discounts you have...so it may be even.

I'm looking for a recomendations and recent prices paid for a 2010 Honda Accord LXS coupe or 2010 Honda Accord EX sedan in the NY/NJ area. I have a 2002 Honda Civic EX that has a 127,000 miles on it. The car is in excellent running condition and has been dealer maintenanced/serviced from the very beginning. It would be nice to get $4000.00 for the trade. Come on all, let me know what you have paid and where I should go for the best purchase price. I've read that Honda currently as a 1.9% financing for up to 5 yrs. I just want a good price & a fast & easy transaction.

Sell your Civic to private party, you will get 5000 or even 6000 for that car.
  • vivianne101vivianne101 Member Posts: 7
I got it at Honda on Capital Expressway in San Jose. I went in with an email from South Bay Honda from one of their fleet managers saying they would sell me the car for 18800 plus fees. I showed this to Honda and they were willing to match it. But before matching they wanted me to pay the destination charge too b/c my email from South Bay Honda did not specify whether destination charge was included. I said NO, I would go to SBH instead b.c I talked to the guy on the phone and he said it included everything. So the manager came out and agree to match the 18800 and b/c they promised me tire guards and the car didn't come with it, they took off 159 (the price of the tire guards). So 18641 includes destination. I paid total out the door around 20700. I think I could have gotten a better deal.

My advice is not to go in during a weekend. There are tons of people there to look at cars. Go in during the weekday. I came in on Tuesday afternoon. No one was there. They were willing to deal.

    Hope this helps.

I am negotiating for the same model. I am wondering:

Does the Honda dealer charge you for FInance Charge?

$18641 is for fully loaded 2010 Accord LX sedan? Thank you.
  • woofubawoofuba Member Posts: 2
Just picked up a new Accord EX-L sedan yesterday. Had started from a price tip in this forum.

    OTD price: $24,435.50

    Breakdown:
    $22,600 (car+destination)
    $1,412.50 (6.25% MA tax)
    $125 (title+license)
    $298 (documentation fee)

The dealership is Boch Honda in Norwood. If anyone's interested, send an email to my carspace.com address for the salesperson's name and contact.
  • vivianne101vivianne101 Member Posts: 7
Its a 2010 LX model. The MSRP on it was 22,650. I negotiated down to 18641 (including destination charge). I paid tax, license and registration. That came to around 20700. I did the 60 months financing at 1.9% so they charged an additional 1,000 for financing. My month payments came out to be 363 per month for 5 years.

I think if it was a fully loaded LX, it would be a different car...say EX??

Sorry if I didn't answer your question.

    Hello,

I just bought a 2010 Accord LX-P for 21,600 OTD in NJ. The dealer came down to 19,830 (incl destination fee) and then added tax, tire fee, DMV and Documentation fee. I know its not the same trim as yours but thought it might help comparing.
  • cm1379cm1379 Member Posts: 28
Is this a good OTD price for NJ? I am buying the car and this includes destination, tax, tire fee, documentation and DMV fees. Thanks in advance for all comments and suggestions.

I am negotiating for a 2010 Honda Accord EX-L V-6 with all options incl Navigation except spoilers and painted wheels. What is the bottom line I can expect to pay for this car with no sales tax. I appreciate anyone's help...I am in Oregon

Got what I think is a pretty good lease. $159/month + tax, 36 months, 12K/year, $1,150.13 paid at signing (included acquisition fee, doc fee, first payment, and title/registration fees). With Mass. sales tax, the payment is 168.94 per month.

Love the car. Manual trans is the way to go.

I'm negotiating with a dealership in IL, and they are giving me a price of $25,175. Is this a good deal? They also tell me that they will give me the 1.9% for 60 months. The car has the wheel locks, splash guards, and the mat in the trunk. I really like this car, is black on black. What do you guys think? I appreciate the help.

    hi all,

one of the dealers has got few 2009 LX accords left which he is selling for 18k + dmv.

    please can anyone suggest:

    1) if its ok to buy 2009 model or is there any trick involved in this?

    2) if its ok to buy last year's model, then please suggest if the price sounds good.

btw, i am in OR state.

    thank u

This is not a good deal. You can come out as well, or almost as well, with a 2010, if you bargain. You are looking at one year of depreciation with a 2009. Your car has depreciated twice when you drive off the lot: the fact that it is one year old and the normal off the lot depreciation, if it were a 2010. I would definitely not do it. The dealer is receiving a kickback from Honda for moving a 2009 off the lot. That price does not reflect that kickback.
  • jsmith22jsmith22 Member Posts: 23
I WILL NOT TOUCH THIS DEAL WITH 10 FT. POLE.

    1) 2009 model LX for $18k is a rip off, people in this forum has bought 2010 LX for 18,500 to 18,900(including destination). it is better to pay that more and get a 1 yr new model. infact after few months from now it will be a 2 year old model once 2011 accord arrives in by july or august.

2)Buying a used car with few thousand miles on it is not only cheaper but also better than brand new 2009 model sitting on the car lot for almost 20 months now. If the car is not driven for such a long time, it will have more problems like cracked belts and pipes than the one regularly driven.

don't let the slimy car sales man get you! choose wisely and take your time!
